The Department of Political Science was established in 1963 and now has one active faculty member who teaches and conducts research. The Department has pledged to operate in accordance with the institution’s goals in order to improve teaching and learning processes. The Department’s faculty is constantly working to keep students up to date on contemporary trends in their subject domain and to instil in them an interest in education and research. Interactions in the classroom provide an opportunity to develop a variety of relevant abilities, such as writing and critical thinking.

In the face of COVID19, the department implemented online instruction to help with the teaching-learning process; perhaps, in the future, online mode will complement classroom experience. To shape the teaching-learning experience in a more student-centric manner, a Learning Outcome-based Curriculum Framework method is used. A concerted effort is made to engage pupils with a variety of viewpoints on many political issues.
