About Department
The department of Physics came into existence in 2009. and is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. The department offers the UG programme only. However, presently only 02 faculty members are catering the students of Under Graduate (B.Sc. Programme -Semester Pattern) The syllabus is framed by S.G.B. Amravati University as per the UGC guidelines for Semester Systems. The department has been imparting the quality education in the field of Physics. The department is started with the aim to make the students creative, logic oriented and to inculcate the basic skills and research attitude among the students. The department faculties, involved in teaching, research and extension activities. The department involves the students in various activities.

To shape excellent, creative and confident personalities to take up key responsibilities in the development of nation.
To be one of the research-led Physics schools, known for excellence and innovative in Physics research and partnership with other departments to create prosperity.
To facilitate capacity building of the under-privileged people to achieve self-sustained development.
Programme outcomes
PO-1: Demonstrate, solve and an understanding of major concepts in all disciplines of Physics.
PO-2: Solve the problem and also think methodically, independently and draw a logical conclusion
PO-3: Employ critical thinking and the scientific knowledge to design, carry out, record and analyse the results of Physics experiments.
PO-4: Create an awareness of the impact of Physics on the society and development outside the scientific community.
PO-5: To inculcate the scientific treatment in the students and outside the scientific community.
PO-6: Use modern techniques, descent equipment’s and different software’s.
