The Department of History at Shri Vitthal Rukmini College, Sawana, established in 1984, is one of the important academic departments of the college. Since its inception, the department has been committed to imparting quality education in History and developing historical awareness among students.
The department is dedicated to promoting the study of Indian, World, Regional, and Local History. It encourages students to understand historical events, cultural heritage, social transformations, and the contributions of great leaders to society. - Students will be able to explain the fundamental teachings, philosophies, and ethical principles of Jainism and Buddhism
- Students will gain knowledge about the historical development and spread of Jainism and Buddhism in ancient India.
- Students will analyze the influence of Jainism and Buddhism on ancient Indian culture, politics, art, and architecture, recognizing how these religions contributed to the broader cultural and societal transformations in India.
