About Department

The Department of Sociology at Shri. Vitthal Rukmini College, Sawana was established in 1984. Social science in Arts faculty having capacity of 120 students and Department offers B.A. course at the undergraduate level.

The Department of Sociology focuses on the scientific study of society, social relationships, institutions, culture, and social change. The department aims to create socially aware and responsible citizens by providing knowledge of contemporary social issues and research-based learning.

Vision and Mission :

Vision : To nurture socially conscious, responsible, and competent citizens capable of contributing to inclusive and sustainable social development.

Mission : To provide quality education in sociology through innovative teaching, research, extension activities, and community participation.
