Mission of the department:
To create this department as a center of excellence with dynamic teaching – learning environment that strives for research, creativity and product development with project based learning
Scope of the Subject:
Chemistry serves as a foundational pillar for understanding the physical universe. Often described as the central science, it explores the composition, properties, and transformations of matter, along with its relationship to energy. This core knowledge provides critical insights into adjacent fields such as materials science, biology, and medicine. By unraveling the mechanisms of the natural world, chemical innovation continually yields transformative technologies that enhance global quality of life. Because it intersects with so many fields, a comprehensive chemistry curriculum equips graduates with versatile skills. This academic foundation opens doors to rewarding and impactful careers across diverse sectors, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, biotechnology, nanotechnology, metallurgy, and food science. As global challenges evolve, the relevance of chemistry continues to expand, offering a reliable and dynamic path for future professionals.
