About Department
The department of mathematics is established in the year 2009, coinciding with the inception of the science stream. Since the inspection, the department actively contributed to the development of the college. Department having 02 full time highly qualified staff having Ph.D. and NET-JRF, SET qualification. A significant number of students have graduated with first-class degrees with mathematics as main subject. Many of these alumni have pursued post-graduation in mathematics and secured prominent positions in various fields.
For the students department organized various seminar competitions, mathematics knowledge competitions, poster presentation competitions, Guest lecturers of various eminent personalities from other institutes. Students are encouraged to take part in various competitions and competitive examinations. Our students actively participate in AVISHKAR hosted by different colleges and supported by the SGB Amravati University, Amravati.

Scope of Subject:
Mathematics is at the heart of science, engineering and technology, swell as being an indispensable problem-solving and decision-making tool in many other areas of life. Mathematics has got a great importance in the industrial and economic development of a country. This subject has great scope and it enables the candidates to use their mathematical knowledge in different areas. The scope of opportunities is vast for mathematics graduates as they are equipped with skills and knowledge which required for jobs in fields such as finance, education, engineering, science and business, as well as mathematics and mathematical science research.
It opens paths in higher studies, teaching, research, government exams, data science, finance, IT, actuarial work, and many analytical roles in both public and private sectors. Mathematics graduates can work as teachers, lecturers, analysts, statisticians, data scientists, financial analysts, operations researchers, or actuarial professionals. The subject is especially useful wherever logical reasoning, modeling, computation, and problem-solving are needed.
