Shri Vitthal Rukmini College, Sawana, founded in 1984–85 through the visionary efforts of Late Balasaheb Deshmukh Savnekar, has today grown from a small sapling into a flourishing banyan tree. The college has been continuously working towards educating and empowering society, particularly in rural areas, while helping students develop the skills necessary to thrive in society. I warmly welcome all students seeking admission to this institution. Along with the university curriculum, the college strives to provide value-based and holistic education to shape a well-rounded and cultured new generation. In addition to core academic subjects, opportunities are provided in Environmental Science, Computer Science, sports, and various skill-development activities. The institution also promotes self-employment and entrepreneurship through several innovative schemes and programs. For the overall development of students, the college organizes numerous activities and events. Students are entrusted with significant responsibilities in these programs, enabling them to develop leadership qualities and showcase their talents. Through the National Service Scheme (NSS), students participate in rural camps and learn the values of community service and social responsibility inspired by the ideals of Sant Gadge Baba. The teaching and non-teaching staff of the college are always dedicated to the growth and welfare of students. They continuously strive to prepare students for success in this competitive era. Over the years, many students from this college have brought honor to the institution through achievements in sports, research, government services, and national service, including military recruitment.
