- Goal: To convert organic canteen and garden waste into nutrient-rich bio-fertilizer while training students in sustainable farming practices.
- The Practice: The department maintains a functional vermicompost unit managed by Zoology students.
- Impact: The produced organic manure is utilized for the campus botanical garden, and the excess is distributed to local farmers, bridging the gap between campus and agricultural communities.
